Jeffrey G. Sparks, 72, of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Columbia, KY on March 28, 1952, to the late W. A. and Claristine Richard Sparks.

Mr. Sparks attended the Cane Valley Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a farmer and former employee of Summit Manor Nursing Home and an advocate for pet rescue with the Adair County Animal Shelter.  He enjoyed watching wrestling, tinkering in his shop and spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter Willow.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Taylor Sparks of Columbia, KY; a daughter Tabetha Sparks of Morristown, TN; a granddaughter Willow Sparks; a sister Sue Sparks of Campbellsville, KY; nieces and nephews Jason Sparks (Leslie), Hailey Staten (Chandler), Briley Taylor, Sherry Burris, and Casey Taylor (Sheavon); a brother-in-law Barney Taylor (Nancy); a sister-in-law Kathy Taylor and several great nieces and nephews, friends and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother Larry Sparks, and brother/sister-in-law Chester Taylor and Sharon Parson (Vernon "Bunny").

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Tuesday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Barney Taylor and Bro. Clay Scott will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Chandler Staten, Briley Taylor, Jason Sparks, Casey Taylor, Jason Lacy, and Willard Parson.
