James McArthur Royse, Beloved husband, father, granddaddy and servant of our Lord, passed away on February 21, 2015 at the age of 88.

He was born November 7, 1926, to Baruch and Mollie Morris Royse and by one sister: Nancy Royalty.

He was retired from the United States Postal Service, a Veteran of the U. S. Army, a Member and twice Grand Master of Columbia F & AM Lodge Post #96, a member of the Westlake Hospital Auxiliary, a Kentucky Colonel, and member of Columbia Union Presbyterian Church.

James and his wife, Zona, were long standing members of the ACHS Band Boosters serving for 16 years thru the tenure of 3 of their children and even beyond.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Zona Bradshaw Royse, 4 children, Linda (John) McGrew of Athens, Alabama, David (Molly) Royse of Farragut, Tennessee, Jean (Glenn) Thibodeau of Bowling Green, Kentucky and John (Emily) Royse of Simpsonville, Kentucky. He has 7 grandchildren, 1 step grandson and 3 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service: Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 4:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps- McQueary Funeral Home

Interment at Haven Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbia Union Presbyterian Church.
