Obituary

James E. "Jim" Roark, 80 of Russell Springs, formerly Adair County, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 11:35 PM at his residence.

He was born in Elkhorn, West Virginia on March 29, 1936 of the late Trealy and Bonnie Taylor Roark, besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son James E. Roark Jr. on March 25, 1997

He is survived by his wife Shirley Asberry Roark of Russell Springs.

One son Odes Roark of Russell Springs.

One brother Ray Roark of Cooper Ridge area in Adair County.

One sister Bertha Roark of Indianapolis, IN.

One grandchild Amanda Marie Loop & 1 great grandchild Taylor Rena Loop

several nephews, nieces & a host of other relatives & friends survive

He was a United States Marine Corp veteran, member of the Mt. Calvary Church in Dunnville, KY and had been a farmer.

Funeral Service Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Clergy officiating: Bro. David Asberry & Bro. Billy Ray Hewitt

Interment in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Casey County with full Military

Honors presented by the Russell County Honor Guard
