JAMES F. "JIMMY" HARPER age 75 years of 613 Greensburg Street

Columbia, KY passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at 4:55 PM at his

home after a short illness.

He was born December 20, 1935 in Columbia, KY the son of the late

Alfred and Elizabeth Montgomery Harper

Mr. Harper was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church were

he served as a deacon, he was a US Army veteran. He worked for the

United States Postal Service for over 30 years, he was a retired Postmaster of

Greensburg, KY Mr. Harper was a member of the Gideon's International,

Russell County American Legion, he was a past member of the Columbia City

Council, Columbia-Adair Co. Fire Department, Columbia Utilities Commission

Columbia Housing Authority and various other positions

Survived by his wife: Donna Marcum Harper of Columbia, KY

Two daughters:

Lisa Harper Johnson and husband Jay of Nicholasville, KY

Jamie Harper White and husband Richard of Louisville, KY

Four grandchildren:

Casey Johnson Walker, Cara Johnson, Anna Johnson, Harper White

Also survived by several cousins and a host of friends

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Clergy officiating: Bro. Tony Stephens & Bro. Raymond Martin

Interment in the Columbia Cemetery

The family request visitation after 2:00 PM on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary
