Hollis Edward Kerns, 80, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born on December 8, 1944, in Adair County, Ky to the late Welby Ray and Mattie Lee Barrett Kerns.

Mr. Kerns enjoyed ginseng digging, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include a son Kevin Kerns of Columbia, KY; a granddaughter Courtney Brooke Kerns Ford (Nate) of Greensburg, KY; his former wife and special friend Phyllis Shirley; a brother Donald Kerns of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings Wanda Kerns, Shirley Kerns Bailey, and George Randall Kerns.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
