HARRIS LEON LOY age 80 years of the Glensfork Community went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY after

several weeks illness.

He was the son of the late: Virgil & Tina Campell Loy of Adair Co. KY

He was born December 25, 1928 near Glensfork, KY

He served in the Korean War from 1950-1952 where he received the Korean

Service Medal with 3 Bronze Camp Stars and was a member of the Pierce's

Chapel Baptist Church and a farmer.

Survived by two sisters:

Delcie Fern Lucas & husband Gary of Rineyville, KY

Wyneda Faye Sindlinger of Ann Arbor, Michigan

One brother: Raymond Loy of Ann Arbor, Michigan

Also survived by several nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by two brothers: Joe Richard Loy and James Gailon Loy

Funeral service: Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11;00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Clergy officiating: Rev. William Karnes

Interment in the Loy Cemetery with full military honors by local VFW Post 6097

The family request visiting after 2:30 PM Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
