Glenna Nadine Keltner, age 95, passed to her rest on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Mrs. Keltner was born in Cork, Kentucky on May 24,1920 to the late Mike and Rosa (Harris) Shoultz. Her childhood was spent in Metcalfe County. She attended White Oak Elementary and graduated from Metcalfe County High School in 1938.
Mrs. Keltner is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Keltner, cherished children, Patricia Ann, Jan, David and Jimmy. Her beloved sisters, Lavene Free, Phyll Head, Margie Yott, and her brother Emerson Estile, Step-Grandson Jason Rael, and Great-Grandson, Kyle Keltner.
Mrs. Keltner was the spiritual backbone, not only of the family, but the community in which she lived. She was a founding member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Columbia. She was a spiritual inspiration in her simple faith and ways. She showed this daily in her personal walk with anyone and everyone, no matter who they were. Her lessons of faith, love and charity were with her in her daily life and passed on to a devoted family. She was an avid reader and a passionate master gardener. She enjoyed board games, and was unbeatable at Scrabble.
Those left to cherish her memory are six children: Kenneth Keltner, (Elaine Chaille') Carmel, Indiana; Rosemary Collins, Bardstown, Kentucky; Penelope Rael, Questa, New Mexico; Nancy Keltner, Bardstown, Kentucky; Bobby Keltner (Melissa Harris) Columbia, Kentucky; Keith Dee Keltner (Alice Poirier) Questa, New Mexico.
Eighteen Grandchildren: Eric and Kevin Keltner; Allyson Keltner; Jennifer Collins Riggs; Daniel, Gabriel, Tammy, Brian Rael; Thaddeus and Ethan Keltner, Sarah Keltner Simmons; Shalla and Kent Mirkhani; Andrew, Eva,Therese and Alex Keltner.
Eleven Great-Grandchildren: Kassandra Downing, Luke Keltner; Kristina Caetano, Nicholas, Hunter, and Kaleb Keltner; Madilyn and Collin Riggs; Addelyn Keltner; Elayna and Noah David Keltner. And her Great-Great Grandson, Carter Downing.
Her loving family will be commemorating her life on Sunday, November 1st, 2015.
With a funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Stotts, Phelps and McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, Kentucky.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
Burial to follow in the Parnell-Keltner Cemetery, Keltner, Ky.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Columbia Seventh Day Adventist Church, 100 Church Street, Columbia, Ky 42728.
