Obituary

Glenn Douglas “Doug” Lee, 69, of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away on September 13, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 27, 1956, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, Doug was a man whose life was rooted in hard work, faith, and the people he loved most. He worked as a farmer, a calling that reflected his steady nature, strong work ethic, and deep connection to the land.

Doug found enjoyment in many simple and meaningful pursuits. He loved welding and painting tractors, interests that spoke to both his skillful hands and his appreciation for the work and machinery that shaped his days. He also enjoyed traveling to the mountains, where he could take in the beauty and peace of the outdoors. Above all, he treasured spending time with his family and friends, and those moments brought him lasting happiness throughout his life.

A faithful man, Doug was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ, a commitment that was an important part of his life and one of his proudest accomplishments.

Survivors include his children Emily Billingsley (Jonathan), Cortney Edwards (Stephen), Lacey Rooks (Eric) and Cameron Lee; his grandchildren Madison Franklin (Daniel), Brenton Billingsley, Caleb Edwards, Macy Rooks, Katie Edwards, Maddux Edwards and Jake Edwards; a great grandson Theodore Franklin and several friends and other relatives.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Richard Edward and Mary Ellen Mann Lee and a brother Dale Lee.
