Gladys Burton Powers, age 85 of 268 Holladay Cemetery Road, Columbia, Ky.

Passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at 7:03 A. M. at her home

She was the daughter of the late Willie J. & Nancy Jane McQueary Burton & the

Widow of Carl Edward Powers who preceded her in death in 1990

Survived by two sisters: Shirley Bryant & her husband Dickie of Columbia, Ky. & Pinkie Lee of Cincinnati, Ohio

Two brothers: Sherman Burton of Columbia, Ky. & Wallace Burton of Louisville, Ky.

A host of nephews, nieces and caretakers & friends survive

Preceded in death by the follow brothers & sisters: Woodruff Burton, Vertis Burton, Marvin Burton, Carl Burton, Hattie Hollins, Arleter Burton, Veneitta Burton

She was retired from Indiana Army Ammunition Plant & was of the Baptist Faith

Funeral service Saturady, Oct. 18, 2008 at 10:00 A. M. CST at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Entombment in Resthaven Mausoleum in Louisville, Ky.
