GLADYS COMBEST MURRELL, 91 of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 5:50 AM at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY after several months illness.

She was born in Adair County, KY on January 25, 1927 the daughter of the late

William Jeffries and Carrie Holmes Combest

She was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church and a teacher at Lindsey Wilson College and the Adair County School System. She was a member of the Adair Co. Retired Teachers, Adair Homemakers and Methodist Women.   She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, feeding and watching songbirds.

Survived by one daughter; Vicki Wright of Hamilton, Ohio

One son: Michael Gene (Lee Ann) Murrell of Dyersburg, Tennessee

Three sisters: Helen Simpson and Betty Logsdon both of Glasgow, KY

Bessie Willis of Columbia, KY

Three grandchildren:  Carrie Tyler, Laurie Wright, Macy Smith

One step grandchild: Tyler Hallum

Three great grandchildren and 24 nieces and nephews

Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery
