Obituary

GARY "RED" SAMUELL, 70 of the Fairplay Community in Adair County Kentucky passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at 4:55 a.m. at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky after several months of illness.

He was born January 10, 1946 the son of the late Haskell and Ruth Harvey Samuell of Adair County, Kentucky, he was also preceded in death by one sister Juanita Faye Stone and a brother in law J.W. Stone

Mr. Samuell is survived by his wife: Rosetta Stotts Samuell of Fairplay, KY

Two sons:

Christopher Allen Samuell and wife Lynn of Radcliff, KY

Shawn David Samuell of Radcliff, KY

2 grandchildren: Jacob Allen Samuell and Catherine Samuell

1 great grandchild

One sister: Ramona Akin and husband Glen of Fairplay, KY

Gary had professed his faith in Christ several years ago and was a member of the Old Concord United Methodist Church, Fairplay, KY. He was a concrete wall former for over 30 years and was employed by the Adair County Road Department for 7 years. Gary was well known for his singing voice, he was a member of the Sterling's Band for many years, a regular singer with the Dream Depot and a gospel music singer.

Funeral service: Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Burial in the McClister Cemetery at Fairplay, KY

The family request visiting after 4:00 PM on Tuesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
