Garnett Lee Franklin, 80, of Columbia, KY died Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.  He was born in the Flatwoods Community of Adair County on January 22, 1942 to the late Jim Henry and Verlin Pearl Spoon Franklin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three siblings Johnson Lee Franklin, Connie Pauline Holmes and Florene Franklin.

He is survived by two brothers Carl Franklin (Clarice) of Greensburg, KY and Bobby Ray Franklin of Columbia, KY; two sisters Christine Croghan of Liberty, KY and Carolyn May Dixon of Mobile, AL; nieces and nephews Angie Dixon, Jackie York, Joe Brant, Jacob Stargel, Jason Bryant, David Stargel, Rodney Holmes, Willy Holmes, Steven Croghan, Carl Franklin, JR, Conrad Franklin and Chris Franklin.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, February 25, 2022 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Franklin Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 9:00am Friday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
