GARLAND HAYES, 86 of the Ebenezer Road, Greensburg, KY passed away

Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 4:00 PM at his home after several months illness.

He was born in the Ebenezer Community of Green Co. KY on March 18, 1931 the son of the late:  Robert T. and Lena Wilkerson Hayes

He was preceded in death by one brother: Floyd Sherman Hayes and by

His wife Allene Sharpe Hayes on August 10, 2004

Survived by one son: Terry Hayes and wife Kim of Campbellsville, KY

One granddaughter:  Leah Hayes of Greensburg, KY

Two step grandsons:  Matthew Schmuck of Campbellsville, KY and

Chance Cox of Lexington, KY

Also survived by other relatives and a host of friends

Mr. Hayes made a childhood profession of faith in Christ and attended the Light House Baptist Church, a US Army Korean War veteran, and a lifelong farmer and a care giver for his wife for many years.

Funeral service:   Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM  CST at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY

Clergy officiating:  Bro. Jim Collison and Bro. Don Gowin

Burial in the Griffin Cemetery on Hwy 565  with full military honors presented by Columbia VFW Post 6097

The family request visiting after 4:00 PM CST on Friday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
