Obituary

Frank Yurcevic, devoted father and grandfather, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 3, 2010. He was 73.

He was born to Helen Cindric and George Yurcevic in S. Greensburg, PA on Feb. 26, 1937. Frank achieved the rank of Sergeant for his five years of honorable service as a United States Marine, being stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, Ohau, Hawaii and Korea. He later made a career and retired as a long-haul truck driver.

He was preceded in death by one step son, Greg Whitson, in 2007 and by one half brother, Michael Bradovich, in 1967.

Frank leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, April (Guy) Shepperd of Columbia; one step-daughter, Sandra (Willard) Morgan of Columbia; and one step-son, Vincent (Jamie) Whitson of Winter Haven, Fl.

He is also survived by one sister, Jeannie Cramer of Youngwood, PA.; and two brothers Nick Yurcevic of Cleveland, OH and George Yurcevic of Greensburg, PA.

Frank leaves behind two adored granddaughters: Tiffany (Garret) McElroy of Campbellsville, KY and Bailey Shepperd of Columbia, KY.

Also surviving is his beloved, Treva Downey Ballou, who has been a part of his life for over 20 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stotts, Phelps, McQueary Funeral Home, with Brother Guy Shepperd officiating. Visitation begins at noon.

The family has chosen cremation.
