Eva Cole Gentry age 91 years of Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY passed away

Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, KY after

several weeks illness.

She was born December 25, 1918 at Bakerton in Cumberland Co. Kentucky the daughter of the late Ed E. & Agnes Murphy Cole

She moved to Columbia at age 8 and was a graduate of Columbia High School and

moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she worked for the war effort during World War II, she was employed as store manager of Alden's in Kokomo, Indiana, and retired back

to her hometown of Columbia in 1984. She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church and an active member of the Order Eastern Star # 835 for 63 years.

She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters

Marvin Lewis Cole, Stanley Frank Cole, Letha Gladys Cole Conover, Nina Clyde

Cole, Willa Murphy Cole Hudson, Dorothy Marie Cole Loy, Nellie Ruth Cole Wagner, and and a niece Clarine Sue Greer

Survived by one son: Dan Gentry and wife: Cheryl of Ft. Myers, Florida

These nieces and nephews, William "Billy" Conover, Charles Cole & wife

Roberta of Columbia, KY William "Billy" Mitchell Hudson of Bardstown, KY

James "Jimmy" Hudson of Boston, KY Doris Hudson White & husband Ronell of

Funeral service will be Tuesday September 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Stotts-Phelps-

McQueary Funeral Home
