ERNEST RAINWATER age 88 years of Elkhorn Road, Knifley, KY passed away

Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:45 AM at the Campbellsville Retirement Home in

Campbellsville, KY after several months illness.

He was born October 24, 1923 in the Smith Ridge Community of Taylor County, KY the son of the late: Ras & Lillian Ford Rainwater

He was married to Agnes Perkins Rainwater on June 29, 1946

Survived by his wife: Agnes Perkins Rainwater of Knifley, KY

Survived by one son: Wendell Rainwater of Knifley, KY

One daughter: Glenda Barlow of Tampa, Florida

Two brothers: J.D. Rainwater of Campbellsville, KY

William Rainwater of Campbellsville, KY

Three sisters: Lula Mae Bell of Campbellsville, KY

Helen Sharp & husband Cecil of Campbellsville, KY

Barbara Skaggs & husband Donald of Campbellsville, KY

Two granddaughters survive: Allison Elizabeth Campbell and Miranda Lynn Conley

Five great grandchildren survive

Survived by a brother in law: Walter Harold Perkins & wife: Margaret of Campbellsville, KY

He was preceded in death by his only grandson: Shannon Rainwater on July 15, 2000

These siblings preceded him in death: Gordon Earl Rainwater, Kenneth Rainwater, Rosaline Sprowles and Madeline Cave

Mr. Rainwater was a member of the Yuma Baptist Church, a U. S. Air Corp veteran of World War II and was a retired farmer in the Knifley Community.
