She was born July 7, 1939 the daughter of the late: Guy and Dorothy Stotts Akin of Adair County, KY

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Grant on March 20, 1998 and by two sons: Ronald Lynn Grant in 1977 and Charles Randall Grant in 2005

Survived by three sons:

Richard Grant of Columbia, KY

Roger Dale Grant of Columbia, KY

Carlos Ryan "Chopper" Grant of Columbia, KY

One sister: Cathy Grant of Adolphus, KY

Four brothers:

Glen Akin of Fairplay, KY

David Akin of Columbia, KY

Hugh Wyatt "Ricky" Akin of Russell Springs, KY

Larry Akin of Des Moines, Iowa

Seven grandchildren: Curtis Grant, Janice Grant, Jessica Hatcher, Shelby Grant, Cody Grant, Kila Grant, Jacob Grant and eight step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

Mrs. Grant has worked at Osh Kosh for several years and was a homemaker
