Emma Bardin Childress 85 years formerly of Columbia, KY and Cave City, KY passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:40 AM at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY after a long illness.

She was born on December 19, 1928 at Bliss in Adair County

She was the daughter of the late John Golden and Mary Ann Smith Bardin of Adair Co. KY

She was the widow of Rex Childress who preceded her in death 2012

also preceded in death by one son Dean R. Beard in 2010

two grandchildren Eric Dean Beard in 2014, Ginger Renee Beard in 2009

Four brothers G. B. Bardin, Delphus O. Bardin, Lewis Bardin & Mike Harmon

She is Survived by one son Larry O. Beard & wife Leva Frances of Elizabethtown, KY

One sister Golie Bardin of Columbia, KY

One brother Hershel Harmon of Columbia, KY

Four Grandchildren Jill Beard, Kimberly Hickey, Larry R. Beard &

Gretchen Knight

Six Great Grandchildren

She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, retired from

Oshkosh B'Gosh with 25 years, she was a Regional QA Inspector
