ELVA FIRQUIN ENGLAND age 92 years of Columbia, KY passed away

Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 3:52 PM at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, Kentucky after several weeks illness.

She was the daughter of the late: Guy & Beatrice Coomer Firquin of Adair Co. KY

She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe England on March 11, 1989

Survived by one son: Max England of Louisville, KY

One daughter: Ricky Clutterbuck of Columbia, KY

Two brothers: Guy Firquin of Louisville, KY and Jimmy Firquin of Columbia, KY

One sister: Jewel Kerns of Louisville, KY

Four grandchildren: Eric England, Sonya Worthington, Melissa Hurrigan, Kimberly

Kelsey Hurrigan, Matthew England, David England, Clint Bailey

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Rev. Joe Firquin,

Ruby Bell

Mrs. England was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she

sang in the church choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women's

Society, member of the Easter Star # 435 and a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, she was a retired school teacher of the Adair County School System where she taught for 34 years.

Funeral service: Monday, September 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Clergy officiating: Rev. Gary Jones & Rev. Troy Elmore

Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery
