Obituary

Edward Russell Grant, 75, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, KY. He was born in Columbia, KY on March 12, 1951, to the late Sidney and Susie Pelz Grant. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sharon Dee Campbell Grant and a brother Tommy Grant.

Mr. Grant was a member of the Tabernacle Christian Church and attended New Hope Separate Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and enjoyed going to dirt track races, riding four-wheelers and Harley Davidson motorcycles, hunting, fishing, playing cards, shooting pool and spending time his family and friends.

Survivors include two children Jackie Grant (Wendy) of Russell Springs, KY and Rhonda Roberts of Columbia, KY; three grandchildren Abby Garland (Nathan), Jasmin Grant and Kaleb Roberts; his companion Lisa Inscho of Columbia, KY; three sisters Hilda Smith (Billy) of Columbia, Ky, Wanda French of Campbellsville, KY and Carolyn Gaskins (Amos) of Columbia, KY and several other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Full military honors will be provide by VFW Post 6097. 

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday and will continue Thursday morning until time for the service.

Bro. Steve Bennett will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Steven Inscho, Adam Earles, Jonathan Gaskins, Kaleb Roberts, Tobie Emerson and Jason Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Garland, Kevin Campbell, Brian Campbell, Barry Petty, Ervil Jr Stanley and Benny Judd.
