Obituary

Edith Coomer having celebrated her 100th birthday with friends & family

only two months before, Edith Coomer, born on December 31, 1915

passed away at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village, Monroe, Ohio on

February 24, 2016

Edith was formerly a resident of Columbia and Campbellsville, Kentucky

where she & her late husband, Cager, owned & managed a grocery store.

She was born in Sparksville, Kentucky to Willia "W.L." & Flora Curry

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dimple Curry, Blanche Turner &

twin-sister, Edra Cornelison; and one brother, Billy Curry.

Mrs. Coomer is survived by one sister Dessie Tatum of Florida;

Two sons, David L. (Shannon) Coomer of Monroe, OH & Harold D. (Vivecia) Coomer

of Decatur, AL

Seven Grandchildren, Kimberly (Doug) Anderson, Dana (Jonathan) Morgan,

Amy (Raphael) Avila, Chad Coomer, Soni (Rob) Lukens, Misti (Jason) Palmer,

& Kristi (Michael) Thrasher: fifteen great grandchildren; and one great

great grandchild.

She loved everything about homemaking. During World War II, while living in

Chicago, she did her duty for country work in aircraft factory. She was a member

of Trinity United Methodist Church and formerly of St. Mark's

United Methodist Church. Edith loved life, her God and her family and was

loved by all who knew her
