Howard is survived by three daughters:

Teresa Murphy of Campbellsville, KY

Linette Murphy of McMinnville, TN

Glenn E. Murphy of Columbia, KY

One sister:

Mary Elizabeth Murphy & husband Donnie of Greensburg, KY

7 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends survive

He was preceded in death by an infant son: David Murphy and by three brothers:

Ronnie Dale Murphy, Gene Murphy and Leroy Murphy and by one sister
