He was born on June 14, 1936 at Knifley, Ky.

He was the son of the late Othello & Bertha Mings Ellis

He is survived by his wife Charlotte McQueary Ellis of Columbia, KY

One daughter Denise Pendleton & husband William of Campbellsville, Ky.

Five Sons Kelly Ellis & wife Nancy of Columbia, Ky.

Alfred Ellis & wife Melissa Dunnville, Ky.

Robert Ellis & wife Tammy of Columbia, Ky.

Jimmy Ellis & wife Marty of Columbia, Ky.

David Ellis & wife Keisha of Campbellsville, Ky.

One step-son Mike Burton & wife Lisa of Cynthiana, Ky.

One brother Horace Gene Ellis of Mount Sterling, Ky.

27 Grandchildren, 5 Step-Great Grandchildren,

16 Great Grandchildren, 5 Step-Great Grandchildren

and a host of other relatives & friends survive

He was Preceded in death by a step-daughter Debbie Dykes

He was a member of Dunbar Hill Baptist Church, was a Machinist & had served in

the U. S. Navy & a Kentucky Colonel
