Donnie Dale Shirley, 69, of Columbia, KY died Friday, March 4, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Green County, KY on October 5, 1952 to the late Evan and Maerene Brock Shirley.  He was also preceded in death by a brother Udell Shirley.

He was a member of the Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church and formerly built homes with S & S Builders.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Burton Shirley of Columbia, KY; a son Eric Shirley of Columbia, KY; two step-children Doug Shepherd (Becky) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Kelvin Kerns (Nicole) of Columbia, KY; four step-grandchildren Kyle, Kameron and Kassity Shepherd and Courtney Kerns; a step-great grandson Walker Shepherd and a sister-in-law Norma Jean Shirley of Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, March 7, 2022 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00-8:00pm and will continue on Monday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Ralph Foster will be officiating and pallbearers will be Shawn Shirley, Evan Shirley, Eric Shirley, Mark Redman, Trevor Loy and Byron Larrimore.
