DONALD FURKIN, 69 years of Columbia, KY formerly of the Sparksville Community passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at 4:53 pm at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, KY after several weeks illness.

He was born June 29, 1945 in Sparksville, KY the son of the late: Coy and Ruth Coomer Furkin of Adair County, KY he was preceded in death by his wife: Louise Lawhorn Furkin on December 21, 1999 preceded in death by one sister Darlene Coomer, four brothers, Maxie Furkin, Calvin Furkin, Darrell Furkin and Ronnie Furkin

Survived by four daughters:

Jean Lefaivre and husband Ken of Russell Springs, KY

Connie Bryant and husband Robert of Russell Springs, KY

Donna Price & husband Jim of Jamestown, KY

Cathy Shelton and husband Tim of Columbia, Ky

One sister Lu Ann Janes of Columbia, KY

Six grandchildren: Lolita Webb, Amanda Firkins, Jessica Morgan, Kristy McGuffin, Brittany McCormack, Christopher Larguero and by eight great grandchildren

Also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends

Mr. Furkin was a farmer
