Don Franklin age 62 years of 576 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY passed

away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 3:00 P. M. at his home after several months

illness.

He was an automobile dealer in Columbia for 41 years owning Don Franklin Ford-Mercury, Franklin Nissan and Franklin Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC

Don was a visionary working on many projects to enhance and develop Columbia, his dream was to make Columbia a better place to live for everyone. Don rated his priorities in this order, God, family and then his business. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Adair County.

He was the son of the late: Dempsey & Lula Neat Franklin of Adair County, KY

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Sneed Franklin of Columbia, KY

Two sons: Eddie D. Franklin and wife: Lillie of Columbia, KY

Dan Franklin and wife: Melinda of Columbia, KY

Four brothers survive: Herbert Franklin of Edmonton, KY

Harlon Franklin of Columbia, KY

Howard Franklin of Arlington, Virginia

Chester Franklin of Columbia, KY

One sister: Rosie Bearden of Columbia, KY

Five grandsons: Don Franklin Jr., Eddie Franklin Jr., Ben D. Franklin,

Daniel Franklin, Nathaniel Franklin all of Columbia, KY also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother: Wallace Franklin

Funeral service: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Don Franklin Ford on Greensburg Road in Columbia, KY

Clergy officiating: Minister Jay Street & Minister Kenneth Wilson

Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery on Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY

All visiting will be at the Don Franklin Ford Dealership on Greensburg Road in Columbia

Monday after 6:00 PM

Tuesday after 6:00 A.M and Wednesday from 6:00 AM until funeral time.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers expression of sympathy may take the form of a donation to purchase study Bibles for the Church of Christ of Adair County in memory of Don & may be made at Don Franklin Ford Dealership or the funeral home
