DENNIS UNDERWOOD 71, of Columbia, KY formerly of Larue County, Kentucky passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina while on a business trip.

He was born March 15, 1946 in Elizabethtown, KY the son of the late

Duell and Effie Howell Underwood of Larue County, Kentucky

Dennis was a truck driver for Rogers Trucking Company in Columbia, KY for over 41 years and was also a foreman for Rogers Trucking

He attended the Freedom Separate Baptist Church  and was a fisherman

Survived by two sons:

Stacey Underwood and wife Tammy of Radcliffe, Kentucky

Patrick Kelly Underwood and Mengyun-luo of Pearland, Texas

Two brothers:  Russell Underwood of South Carolina and Wayne Underwood of Anchorage, Alaska

Two sisters:  Wanda Brewer of Hodgenville, KY and Gayle Travis of Elizabethtown, KY

Three grandchildren:  Ryan Underwood, Jonathan Underwood, Logan Underwood

Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends

Funeral service:  Saturday,  April 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM CST at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY

Clergy officiating:  Bro. Darrin Blair

Interment in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Larue Co. Kentucky
