David V.  Roy, 61 of Russell Springs, KY formerly of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Thursday, February 22, 2018 at his home

He was born July 24, 1956 in Covington, Kentucky the son of the late; James and Thelma Nora Wilson Roy, besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son James David "Davie" Roy on August 20, 2003

Survived by his wife:   Anita Burton Roy of Russell Springs, KY

One daughter:  Christy (Brad) Burton of Columbia, KY

Two sisters:  Diane (Howard) Foster of Columbia, KY and Kathy (Rick) Pickens of Columbia, KY

Four grandchildren: Mackenzie Bennett, Malanna Burton, Maria Burton, Mason Burton   Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends

David was a member of the 3 Trees Church where he served as a sound technician. He was a teacher's aid at Russell County High School and the owner of Strings & Things Music Center. He was a bass guitar player and a classic car enthusiast.
