Clifton "Dewayne" Curry II, age 50, of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away on October 13, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born on December 30, 1974, to Clifton and Phyllis Darnell Curry of Columbia, KY who survive.
Dewayne was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He operated Adair Gun and Pawn, where he was well known throughout the community for his warm personality, generosity, and love of conversation. His kindness and easygoing nature left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
Dewayne was known for his big heart, his love of family, and his lifelong passion for firearms and collecting. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Brandon Curry and Natalie Curry (Adrian), and his cherished granddaughter, Aaliyah Jade Perez, who was the light of his life.
He is also survived by his sister, Tammy Kelsay; nephew Kyle Kelsay (Casey); niece Kayla Kelsay; three great-nephews Kaleb Kelsay, Bodhi Kelsay, and Hudson Kelsay; and one great-niece Lillian Kelsay.
His special uncles include Jobe Darnell and Odell Bennett, and his loving aunts Beanie Green (Walt), Nell Curry, and Imogene Curry.
He is also lovingly remembered by his special children, Kolton, Kaydan, and Alli Wilt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with services conducted by Logan Wilkerson and burial to follow in Bearwallow Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Curry, Kevin Harvey, Jamie Hatcher, Robin Wilkerson, Derrick Murphy, and Ben Watts.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Kelsay, Dusty Page, Joey Page, Jeremy Page, Charles McKinney, Ryan Johnson, Donald Coomer, and Brian Held.
