Clifford Giles age 78 years of the Millerfield community, Columbia, Ky.

passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at his home after an

illness

He was born on April 11, 1935 in Adair County

He was the son of the late Wesley & Jeston May Giles and

preceded by an infant son Ricky Lee Giles,

one brother Tommy Giles & three nephews

Clifford met and married his soul mate, Joyce Young Giles on June 5, 1955

To this union three children were born: Ricky Lee Giles, deceased on

March 19, 1956 , two daughters Susan Kemp and Jenny (Dean) McGowan

of Columbia

Clifford leaves behind four brothers: Arthur (Betty) Giles of Campbellsville,

Ky., Alvin D. (Shirley) Giles, Travis (Judy) Giles & Junior (Jodie) Giles

of Columbia, Ky.

three sisters: Emogene (Edward) Redmon of Shepherdsville, Ky.,

Lillie (Euen) Pike of Columbia, Ky. & Wanda (Larry) Helm of Jamestown, Ky.

In addition, Clifford was blessed with two devoted granddaughters

Carrie (Tony) Denton and Bethany (Eric) Hovious

several nieces, nephew & a host of other relatives & friends survive

Clifford was a successful businessman and farmer who is widely know

throughout Adair, Taylor, Green & Russell Counties in the grocery business

his family was currently operating the Millerfield Grocery.

He accepted the Lord at a young age, was a life long member of Tabernacle

Christian Church. He was a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #96. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

Clifford was also recognized in his community for his keen sense of business,

a loyal friend and devoted husband, father and grandfather
