5:42 A. M. at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1920

She was the daughter of the late Arthur Bryant & Maggie Blankenship Gilpin of Adair County

and was the widow of Prentice N. Ashby who preceded her in death on June 17, 1977

Preceded in death by her step-mother Mattie May Mann Gilpin

she is survived by three sons

Linnie Franklin of Jeffersonville, IN

Doug Franklin of Louisville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by three children Ray Franklin, Betty Franklin & Carolyn Lay &

One half sister Ethel Long

Also surviving four half brothers

Hayden Gilpin of Jeffersonville, IN

George Gilpin of Greensburg, KY

Jimmy Gilpin of New Albany, IN

7 Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren & several other relatives & friends

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and had worked at General Electric in

Louisville, Ky.
