She was born on Aug. 2, 1923

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Richard Matthews & Anna Belle Clark Matthews

and was the widow of Earl Conover who preceded her in death in 2005

also preceded in death by two brothers Jessie Matthews & Richard Matthews

She is survived by one son Dennis Conover & wife Sallie Collins Conover of

Huntsville, Alabama

One daughter Betty Sue Jasper & husband Clifford Jasper of Columbia, Ky.

Two brothers Thomas Matthews of Campbellsville, Ky. &

Carroll Matthews of Chicago, IL

Four sisters Virginia Ward & husband Bill of Madison, IN

Christine Greeman & husband Charles of Campbellsville, Ky.

Mildred White & Tula Peterson of Campbellsville, Ky.

5 Grandchildren Sarah Conover Brown & husband Shane of Cleveland, TN,

Stephanie Conover of Memphis, TN, Stephen Conover of Atlanta, GA

Ben Jasper & his wife Elizabeth Cheatham Jasper of Columbia, Ky.

Heather Jasper of Columbia, Ky.

Two Great grandchildren Ashlyn Elizabeth & Hannah Claire Brown of

Cleveland, TN

Also surviving are several nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives

She was active in the United Methodist Church for several years ,

She had worked as a teacher's aid for the Adair County Board of Education
