CHARLES ERNEST "MITCH" MITCHUM 85 of the Glensfork Community of Adair County passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at The Palace Nursing Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN after several months illness.

He was born June 15, 1928 in Glensfork, KY the son of the late: Ernest Odus and Elva Mae Wheat Mitchum of Adair Co. Kentucky

Preceded in death by brothers: William "Bill" Mitchum, Carmen Mitchum, Donald Joe Mitchum and a stillborn infant sister: Teresa Gail Mitchum

He is survived by his wife: Glenna Mae "Sandy" Wright Mitchum of Glensfork, KY

One son: Mike Mitchum and wife: Amy of Columbia, KY

One daughter: Tanna Vance and husband: Barry of Austin, KY

Six grandchildren: Michael(Tiffany) Mitchum, Mary (Levi) Burton, Megan Davidson, Ben Fillmore, Grace Fillmore, Kyle Fillmore

Three great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren

Two sister: Imogene Brown of Paducah, KY and Joyce Spurlock of Louisville, KY

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends

Mr. Mitchum was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, a former building contractor and truck driver and was a member of the Fairview Separate Baptist Church
