Catherine Brock Hutchison, 92, of Columbia, KY passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born on April 10, 1932, in Leslie County, KY to the late Will and Rose Caldwell Brock. She married Clyde Hutchison on May 28, 1954, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2011.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Wallace Brock, and a sister Coreen Hayward.

Survivors include one daughter Lisa Ann Hutchison of Oakland, CA and three brothers James Brock of Phoenix, AZ, Richard Brock (Linda) of Sharonville, OH, and Raymond Brock (Mary) of Kenneth City, FL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women for many years, as well as she Chaired one of the Mary Martha Ministries. She loved her God, church, family, neighbors and friends. She loved her Sunday School Class and enjoyed studying the Bible.

She was a member of the Club 92 Homemakers and enjoyed reading a good novel and watching sports for pastime. She graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 1954 and finished her college at Eastern State College (EKU). She taught school for 36 years in the Adair County School System.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Wednesday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Neil Janes and Bro. Ryan Boatwright will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Bob Barnes, Irvin Bertram, David Hutchison, Ronnie VanArsdale, Larry Walker, and Terry Withers. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Boggs, Bradley Caldwell, Neal Coomer, Kenny Davis, Michael Jones, Vince Pfefferman, Kenzie Rowe, and Mike Scott.

The family ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Columbia United Methodist Church Building Fund and can be left at the Funeral Home or Columbia United Methodist Church 202 Burkesville St. Columbia, KY 42728
