Obituary

Carl Dean Redmon, 80, of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on September 2, 1943, in Franklin, IN to the late Elmer Ray and Sarah Jane Frost Redmon. He was preceded in death by his wife Della Jean Burton Redmon.

Mr. Redmon was a member of the Freedom Separate Baptist Church. He enjoyed antique tractors and cars and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include three children Bobbie Huckaby (Roger) of Columbia, Lisa Robson (James) of Peru, IN, and Rodney Redmon (Rhonda) of Russell Springs, KY; three grandchildren Carlee and Bailey Huckaby and Riley Redmon; a sister Juanita Denton (Jimmy) of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two grandchildren Andrea Townsend and Anthony Huckaby and five siblings David, Randall, Edward, and Buck Redmon, and Wanda Homon.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, October 27, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Friday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Darrin Blair and Bro. Richie Curtis will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Jamie Redmon, Willie George, Paul Rooks, Roger Rooks, Don Kemp, and John Denton.
