BRO. SAM BURRIS age 62 years of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday

June 18, 2013 at 7:10 pm at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY He was born in Milltown, KY on December 8, 1950 the son of the late:

A Z and Ruth Janes Burris of Adair County, Kentucky

Sam answered the call of God to preach in August 1971 and ministered in many

different churches. He completed 20 years as pastor of Old Concord United

Methodist Church in June 2013. He was also a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife: Phyllis McKinney Burris of Columbia, KY

One son: Tim Burris and wife Libby of Burkesville, KY

One sister: Wanda Wisdom & husband Larry of Milltown, KY

Three brothers: David A. Burris and wife Betty of Milltown, KY

Mike Burris and wife Carolyn of Russell Springs, KY

Phillip Burris and wife Marilyn of Campbellsville, KY

Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and

friends

Funeral service: Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Clergy officiating: Rev. William Davenport & Bro. John Tupman

Interment in the Columbia Cemetery

The family request visitation after 3:30 PM on Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary
