Brenda Faye Thrasher, 76, of Columbia died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.  Born in Cumberland County she was the daughter of the late Paul and Flossie Shelley Bruton.  Mrs. Thrasher attended the Bearwallow United Methodist Church and was a retired School Teacher after 33years at Colonel William Casey Elementary School.

Survivors include her husband Donald Thrasher of Columbia; two sons Glendell Thrasher (Bonnie) and Greg Thrasher (Tammy) both of Columbia; a grandson Jason Thrasher (Makayla) of Columbia, 4 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren; two sisters Nelda Dockins and Betty Brown (Fred) both of Columbia; a sister-in-law Ann Bruton of Georgia and several nieces and nephews.   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Hilda Hatcher and a brother Eugene Bruton.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Jordan Abell officiating.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home and continue Thursday until time for the service.  Burial will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bearwallow United Methodist Church Youth Program.
