February 13, 2017 at 1:40 AM at the home of her daughter Rhonda Burton after an illness

She was born on October 16, 1944 in Chicago, IL

The daughter of the late Hansel & Rosa Hill Loy of Adair County, KY

The widow of Laymar Murphy who preceded her in death

April 1, 2005, also preceded in death by one daughter Mary Ann Murphy, one step-daughter Della Mae Mendoza

Survivors include two daughters:

Tamra (Darrell) Helm of Breeding, KY

Rhonda (Tony) Burton of Columbia, KY

Three Step-daughters:

Leona (Phillip) Akin of Columbia, KY

Charlotte Faye (Bobby) York of Russell Springs, KY

Carlotte George of Russell Springs, KY

Three brothers: Freddie Loy, Raymond Loy & Harold Loy

One sister: Peggy Furkin of Columbia, KY

6 Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren,16 Step-Great Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Grandchild several nieces, nephew & a host of other relatives & friends survive

Betty was a member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church at Breeeding & a homemaker
