Avery Helm, 77 years of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday May 18, 2017 at 7:35 PM at the TJ Health Columbia Emergency Room in Columbia, KY after several months illness.

He was born October 31, 1939 in Columbia, KY the son of the late William Thomas and Esther Keith Helm, besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife:  Etta Mae Keith Helm on December 29, 1984, also preceded in death by two brothers Edmond Helm and Wayne Helm; and by two sisters Joan Carter and Anna Lee Helm; and by two grandchildren

Mr. Helm is survived by his wife: Wanda Wooldridge Helm of Russell Springs, KY

Three sons survive:

Lynn Helm and wife Lucy of Columbia, KY

Darrell Helm and wife Tammy of Breeding, KY

Kelin Helm and wife Peggy of Columbia, KY

Two daughters:  Della Mae Murrell, who was his caregiver, and husband Junior of Columbia, KY

Diane Gaskins and husband Ricky of Greensburg, KY

13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive

Mr. Helm had attended the former Community Church in Columbia and was a farmer.
