Austin Karnes age 86 years of 1094 Lee Street, Columbia, KY passed
away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 10:35 A.M. at his home after several
months illness. He was born January 2, 1924 in Adair County the son of the late: Allen and Pearl Butler Karnes of Adair Co. he was preceded in death by one brother:
Jimmy Karnes and a granddaughter: Bridgett Karnes
Survived by his wife: Nancy (Spears) Karnes of Columbia, KY
Two sons: Wayne Karnes and wife Jane of Gainsville, Georgia
Justin Karnes and friend Tralisa of Columbia, KY
Four daughters:
Tonya Ballou of Columbia & husband Tim of Georgetown, KY
Bonnie Johnson of Elizabethtown, KY
Peggy Moore & husband: Bruce of Louisville, KY
Imogene McCloud & husband Dale of Columbia, KY
Three step children:
Elizabeth Spears & husband Larry of Burkesville, KY
Donna Voris & husband Victor of Burkesville, KY
Eddie Grissom & wife: Donna of Elizabethtown, KY
Five brothers:
William Karnes & wife Norma Jo of Greensburg, KY
Randall Karnes & wife Sue of Columbia, KY

Mr. Karnes was an automobile mechanic for 67 years and attended the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene
Funeral service: Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home clergy officiating: Bro. Lonny Karnes and Bro. Daryl Karnes
Interment in the Columbia Cemetery the family request visiting after 2:00 PM Saturday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
