Audrey Maxine Carney, 87, of Columbia died Friday, April 10, 2020 at her residence.  Born in Russell Springs, KY she was the daughter of the late Joe and Della Elmore Polston and wife of the late Robert J. Carney Sr…  She was also preceded in death by her previous husbands Junior Brown and Bill Ritter, a son James Warren Brown, Sr and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a grandson James Warren Brown, Jr (Caitlyn) of Memphis, TN; a great grandson Beaux Brown of Memphis; eight step-children Robert Carney, Jr., Barbara Gilland, Beverly Wilkerson, James Carney, Billy Ritter, Teresa Sharp, Ronnie Ritter and Valerie Ritter all of Indiana; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Due to the Covid-19 virus and in compliance with Gov. Beshear's orders and CDC, there will be a private service on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
