Ann Eliza Cowan, 84, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on September 11, 1938 in Adair County, KY to the late Lomar "Cowboy" and Eva Burton Cowan.

Ann attended Egypt Christian Church and enjoyed the outdoors, eating and spending time with friends at Betty Country Cooking.

Survivors include a nephew Charles Cowan and a niece Vickie Cowan both of Illinois; special friends and caregivers Larry and Julie Irvin, Loretta Darling, Sandy Janes Harrell and Phyllis Wright and her dog Jax.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her companion of 56 years James Rice and a brother Harold Cowan.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11:00am Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Rev. Paul Patton will be officiating and pallbearers will be Larry Irvin, Billy Rice, Hootie Corbin, Stephen Shepherd, Marty Irvin, Marshall Irvin, Wayne Irvin and Louis McQueary.
