ALLENE COLLINS age 78 years of Columbia, KY passed away

Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 2:45 AM at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset, KY after a short illness.

She was born October 16, 1934 in Adair County the daughter of the late:

Joe & Emma Moore Absher

Survivors include the following:

One son: David Scott and wife: Christy of Columbia, KY

One daughter: Marlene Flatt and Melvin of Columbia, KY

One brother: James Absher of Columbia, KY

Three sisters: Mattie Lawhorn , Alma Furkin and Lois Claiborne all of Columbia,

KY

Two grandchildren:

Doug Scott & wife: Juanita and Shannon Scott Gadberry and husband Bronson

Four great grandchildren:

Cody Gadberry , Anthony Alley, Jonathon Scott, Corey Scott

Great great grandchild: Timmree Alley

Two special friends: Patricia Roy & JoAnn Simpson

Preceded in death by a brother Holland Absher and two sisters Thelma Wall and Edith Floyd

Allene was a family home operator for 16 years and a homemaker

Graveside service: Sunday: August 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Freedom Cemetery

Interment in the Freedom Cemetery Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY

There will be no public visitation
