ALFORD JONES THOMAS age 93 of Zion Community of Adair County,

passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 8:35 PM at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY

He was born in Adair County on July 17, 1920 the son of the late: Earnest and Martha Jones Thomas

Mr. Thomas was retired after 30 years at Ford Motor Company Louisville, KY and was a farmer in the Cundiff and Montpelier areas of Adair Co., he was a US Army World War II veteran where he served in Guam.

Survivors include two daughters:

Wanda Watson of Louisville, KY

Elaine Thomas of Louisville, KY

One stepson: Mitch Harvey of Smiths Grove, KY

Three grandchildren: Adam Watson, Christopher Scott Thomas and Brian Thomas

Four great grandchildren survive

Two step granddaughters: Keirsten Jaggers and Leah Smith

Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends survive

Interment in the Zion Cemetery with full military honors by Columbia VFW Post 6097
