He was the son of the late Walter Byam Carter & Julia Elizabeth Grant Dearringer

He is survived by his wife: Doris Syfrett Carter of Breeding, Ky.

Two sons: Paul Carter & wife Melissa of Columbia, Ky.

John Carter & wife Jennifer Carter of Columbia, Ky.

One daughter: Cathy Petrey of Breeding, Ky.

Preceded in death by one son: Albert Byam Carter III

also surviving one sister: Carolyn Ann Young of Cocoa, Florida

10 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren

great aunt Frances Carol Strawn of North Carolina

Special niece: Alisa ObauOmar of Louisiana

and a host of other relatives & friends

He was a Horticulturist

Celebration of his life & burial was held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the
