Agnes Louise Taylor Coffey, 87, of Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home, in Jamestown, KY. Mrs. Coffey was born in Adair County, KY on May 26, 1937, daughter of the late William and Fannie Mae Taylor.
Mrs. Coffey began building her legacy in 1950, when she wed the love of her life, Robert Coffey. Together they built a life of happiness and were devoted to each other and their family. Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker and truly took care of her family. Not only did she love her family, but they adored and honored her. She loved to garden, can, fish, camp, going to Pigeon Forge, and anything that got all her family in one space. She and her husband were always the first to arrive at Caldwell Separate Baptist Church and the last ones to leave. She was a Proverbs 31 woman.
Mrs. Coffey is survived by a son, JR Coffey (Joyce) of Columbia, KY; three daughters, Alice Irvin (Wayne), Linda Smith (Ricky), of Columbia, KY and Judy Stephens (Kyle) of Russell Springs, KY; a sister, Cora Lloyd, of Russell Springs, KY; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Coffey Smith (Sammy), Chris Coffey (Joscelyn), Tina Irvin Ward (Chris), Jamie Irvin Schaefer, Shana Smith Palumbo (Nicholas), Sheena Smith (Gary), Keli Stephens Jones (Jeremy), Jonn Stephens (Marisa); 15 great-grandchildren, Shawn Smith (Lauren), Cheyayne Thrasher (Jason), James Ward, Ryan Ward, Oliver Schaefer, Vincent Palumbo, Olivia Palumbo, Isabella Palumbo, Kurtis Smith (Hailey), Ian Smith, Hattie Smith, Brody Jones, Rudy Jones, Josiah Smith, and Libbie Smith; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Theo Smith, Shepherd Smith, Jace Rooks, and Cash Thrasher and several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death her parents and by her beloved husband of whom she is now reunited in Heaven with, Robert Lee Coffey.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY with burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am, until time of the funeral at 1:00pm, Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Logan Wilkerson will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Chris Coffey, Ricky Smith, Jeremy Jones, Ryan Ward, Oliver Schaefer, Sammy Smith, Jonn Stephens, Chris Ward, and James Ward.
