Richie Janes age 70 years of the Gradyville Community, Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 2:45 PM

at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.

He was born on Aug. 14, 1947 in Gradyville, KY the son R. Bernard Janes and the late L V Sexton Janes who preceded

him in death on Nov. 3, 2015 , besides his mother he was preceded in death by his wife  Linda Kay Neagle Janes on November 15, 1983  

Survived by his father   R. Bernard Janes of Columbia, KY  

Survived by his wife Sandy Withers Janes of Columbia, KY

Three daughters: Stacey Coffey & her husband Darrell of Columbia, KY,

Kelly Eaton & her husband Dallas of Glasgow, KY

Keisha Baker & her husband Brent of Columbia, KY

One son  Chris Cowan of Columbia, KY

One sister Ann Dunbar and her husband Billy of Russell Springs, KY      

11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and one on the way

Mother in law  Jeanette Withers Keith & husband David of Columbia, KY

Several nephews, nieces,  other relatives & friends survive

He was a member of 3 Trees Church and operated  Janes’ Fertilizer & Farm Supply at Gradyville for 39 years and was a  farmer.  He was currently serving on the Adair County Farm Bureau Board of Directors,   a member of the Adair County Cattlemen’s Association, a member of the Kentucky Fertilizer Association.

Funeral service Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at  Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Clergy officiating Pastor Eric Gilbert

Visitation after 3:30 PM  Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Interment in Union Cemetery at Gradyville
