Jerry Lee Rector

Jerry Rector, 63, of Columbia died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.  Born in Adair County he was the son of the late Sam and Nina Stargel Rector. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his biological parents Jake and Danford Price Stargel and several siblings Ora Lee, Tom, Clarence, Dallas, Willie Ray, Betty and Gordon Stargel, Jewell Belton, Linda Kerns, Mary Jane Bryant, J W Rector, Susie Goodin and Alta Grider.

Mr. Rector was of the Christian faith and a former member of the Adair County Search and Rescue Squad and the Adair County Jaycees.

Survivors include his siblings Nelda Wolford of Louisville; Doris Jean Holmes of Columbia; Darlene Hale of Louisville; J C Rector of Columbia and Jimmy Stargel of Louisville; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Tarter Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
