EDITH ROBERTS, 89 years of Greencastle, Indiana formerly of the Ella Community of Adair County, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the home of her daughter after a short illness.

She was born October 20, 1927 the daughter of the late McKinley and Ollie Hardwick Boone; she was reared by her grandparents Mont and Mary Liz Hardwick

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband Edward Newton Robert in 2004 and by a son, John Roberts in 2005.

Survived by two daughters: 

  Connie Jetter of Danville, Indiana

  Shelia Cash  & husband Timothy of Greencastle, Indiana

Two sons: 

  Larry Roberts and wife Gail of Fillmore,  Indiana

  Ray Roberts of Bainbridge, Indiana

16 grandchildren survive and over 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren

Mrs. Roberts was a member of the New Hope Separate Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral service: Tuesday, August 8, at 12:00 P.M at New Hope Separate Baptist Church Clergy officiating Bro. David Coffey

Interment in the New Hope Cemetery

Visitation after 3:30 PM on Monday August 7, 2017 and Tuesday morning until 11:00 AM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
