James Walters

JAMES WALTERS, 75 of Columbia, KY formerly of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 6:15 PM at his home after several months illness.

He was born March 16, 1942 in Crawfordsville, Indiana the son of the late Lawrence and Louise Paddock Walters, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Cynthia Walters He was a mechanic for Yellow Freight in Indianapolis, Indiana for 32 years.

Survived by his wife:   Carolyn Sue Burton Walters of Columbia, KY

One daughter:

   Teresa Perry and husband Mike of Carmel, Indiana

Three sons:

     James Eric Walters and wife Starla of Crawfordsville, Indiana

     Richard Walters and wife Vivian of Sheridan, Indiana

     Allen Walters and wife Sherry of Indianapolis, Indiana

Two stepchildren:

     Carolyn Jean Murphy and husband David of Columbia, KY

     Kenneth Wheeler and special friend Amanda Wethington of Columbia, KY

One sister:   Jessie Stewart of Crawfordsville, KY

8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren survive and a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral service: Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home

315 W. Main Street, Jamestown, Indiana

Burial in the New Ross Cemetery in New Ross, Indiana

Visitation Sunday January 7, 2018 after 3:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home and on Tuesday January 9, 2018 after 10:00 AM at the Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown, Indiana
